To feel comfortable in water at 5-7°C you need a Dry Suit with a good heater and a pair of thick diving glove. Cold water is a test not only for divers, but also for their equipment. Two regulators should be adapted for cold water. The Barents Sea has strong currents. The Kartesh’s skilled dive guides will give detailed briefings, and a safety team will watch over each diver. Nevertheless, it is always advisable to have a compass, inflatable surface marker buoy and whistle.
